If it were a more serious event that had a high chance to pop up each week before you played the first mission then it'd feel more like an obstacle to clear than the annoyance it is now. It's still an annoying event that IS insignificant but hearing the quote each week and having other events blocked is more annoying than it is a real threat to anything. Im nearly at week 50, high infestation, but only one hero with the curse. The slight stress reduction in stress reduction facilities is barely negligible. As it's continuously prompting you to attract unto your own party that dreaded crimson curse.īut it is actually of little impact in the game.

I should've said that i'm pretty ahead in my campaign (week 120 more or less) all bosses beaten and only the darkest dungeon remains to do, all my characters are lv 5-6. P/s Im on week 38 now, and so far with 0 casualties and 0 crimson cursed heroes. Going into the new areas when your rooster is barely adequate however is ill advised. Besides you get to enjoy the added content of districts and the flagellant, aside new trinkets and quirks. Nothing bad gets activated until you send your team to foray the new areas, so it's fine. I levelled mine full roster mostly to 2 before I ventured into both the CC and COM expansions which is about week 25ish.
